Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontic treatment is the term used to describe straightening teeth by the use of  braces.  Braces are either permanently fixed to the teeth for the duration of the treatment or sometimes removable appliances are used.  Braces slowly align the teeth by applying constant pressure and usually need to be worn for about 2 years if treatment is started between the ages of 11 and 13.   Adults can also benefit from orthodontics but results tend to take longer.

If you would like to know more about orthodontics and think the look of your teeth could be improved by straightening please contact Tavistock Drive Dental Care, Mapperley Park, NG3 5DU on 0115 9602717 and our dentists would be happy to advise.
