After a recent survey we found a few patients did not understand our fee system, so here is a summary of how we take payments and when;

  • New patients – we always take the current fee of £45 before allocating an appointment,  as these are up to 40 minutes long.  Therefore we ask for payment by card over the phone, or that you come in to pay and then we make the appointment to suit you.  X-rays taken at the appointment are paid for on the day.
  • If  treatment is required a written estimate will be given so you can take this home, think about it and pay when you are ready to go ahead.
  • If you go ahead with the plan we ask that you sign the estimate and we give you a copy to keep.  We take part of the payment which covers treatment you have had and some towards next time.
  • If the treatment is carried out at one appointment we ask for the full payment before the appointment.  This tends to minimise cancellations
  • Anti-biotics are charged for on the day.
  • We do not offer any payment plan options.
  • If you are on Denplan then the appropriate criteria will be taken into consideration on the estimate.
  • Routine check ups and hygienist appointments are paid for on the day.
  • Our staff are happy to answer any queries,  please feel free to ask the dentist in the surgery if you are unsure of anything, or at reception.
